Almost a year ago, I posted a Journal. It didn't say much, this one ... this one might.
For those who might be interested in my world, those who might read this, a lot has happened in a year. I'll work at keeping it fairly short.
January 25th 2008 marked the official 1 year with Lelsey and her 4 year old daughter. It has been amazing being part of their lives. We are now looking into a mortgage (hopes we can get one) to buy a house together. Now thats serious. We've done pretty much all the family type stuff together, and I look forward to doing much much more.
I've been at the Michaels store as the Framing Manager for a year now, so work is going very well. As with any job, some bad days, but luckily, most are good days.
Last November, my Grandfather passed. A little unexpectedly, as he was becoming more active. He had a good life and of course he will be missed, and always loved. I was given his truck. A truck that was 6 years younger than me, with only 53000 kms. It was almost in brand new condition.
Christmas was spent this year at my mothers in Nipigon. Lesley and Gwendolyn had a wonderful time, as did I. Unfortunately, on the way there we were rear-ended by a woman in a black car wrecking my rear bumper.
...Aside from the summer trip to Oshawa, Lesley and I have had serious bad luck traveling anywhere together.
The first trip we took together was to Oshawa, other than a long drive and getting lost a couple times, it went well. Then we attempted travelling to Fort Frances with my fathers car and I believe the timing belt went, leaving us stranded 30 minutes out of T-Bay. We had an adventure getting to a car rental place and renting a car to finish the trip. Then the accident going to Nipigon at Christmas. The last one was this past weekend. We were supposed to go to Fort Frances again. It was late night driving and I hit a patch of black-ice, lost control, hit the guard rail and flipped the poor truck back onto the road. Luckily I was the only injured from my seat belt. Everyone else was okay. My truck, unfortunately can't say the same...

Damnit, I liked that truck. Cost a lot with gas prices, but it was a good truck. So now I'm back to bussing it. At least there is only about a month left of real winter. Then the temps should get a little warmer.
I was looking forward to this summer, and doing a lot more on my weekends off. Particularily car camping, now I'll have to figure something else out. But first, I need to get this day started. I have a lot to do today.
