Wow!! :wow: Less than 3 months and I'm submitting another Journal... who knows, this keeps up, I may start submitting art again??

To continue on from my last Journal, Lesley and I are still doing wonderful. As long as nothing goes completely amiss, we should be getting the keys to our very own house on the 23rd of May. Less than a month and I may be a HomeOwner!! Lots of things we want to do, of course some painting, and putting down laminate flooring. Hopefully we can find a way to get all that done. We found a nice 3 bedroom house. The 3rd bedroom is already spoken for by the unborn child on the way.

Yes, thats right, I'm having a Child! ..well, Lesley has to do all the work, so I guess technically she's having the child, but its half mine! :D I'm gonna be a Father!!??!! :D Baby is due October 9, and no, we don't know gender yet. May 5th is the Ultra-Sound that hopefully will be able to inform us of gender. We've got a couple names that might work, we know a boys name that we both like, but we're having a hard time agreeing on girl's name though. I'm sure we'll figure something out, we have a bit of time still :D

...well, I guess thats about all in my world... except if we do get the house, and I'm pretty sure we will. That means I should have some space to set up drawing and painting again. Maybe, just maybe I'll start back at it, and maybe be able to start submitting art again. That won't happen until later this summer at the earliest though. I should be able to get back into it though, its a good hobby if nothing else.

Hope all is well with everyone who reads this, and everyone who doesn't

A long time ago...

Almost a year ago, I posted a Journal. It didn't say much, this one ... this one might.

For those who might be interested in my world, those who might read this, a lot has happened in a year. I'll work at keeping it fairly short.

January 25th 2008 marked the official 1 year with Lelsey and her 4 year old daughter. It has been amazing being part of their lives. We are now looking into a mortgage (hopes we can get one) to buy a house together. Now thats serious. We've done pretty much all the family type stuff together, and I look forward to doing much much more.

I've been at the Michaels store as the Framing Manager for a year now, so work is going very well. As with any job, some bad days, but luckily, most are good days.

Last November, my Grandfather passed. A little unexpectedly, as he was becoming more active. He had a good life and of course he will be missed, and always loved. I was given his truck. A truck that was 6 years younger than me, with only 53000 kms. It was almost in brand new condition.

Christmas was spent this year at my mothers in Nipigon. Lesley and Gwendolyn had a wonderful time, as did I. Unfortunately, on the way there we were rear-ended by a woman in a black car wrecking my rear bumper.

...Aside from the summer trip to Oshawa, Lesley and I have had serious bad luck traveling anywhere together.

The first trip we took together was to Oshawa, other than a long drive and getting lost a couple times, it went well. Then we attempted travelling to Fort Frances with my fathers car and I believe the timing belt went, leaving us stranded 30 minutes out of T-Bay. We had an adventure getting to a car rental place and renting a car to finish the trip. Then the accident going to Nipigon at Christmas. The last one was this past weekend. We were supposed to go to Fort Frances again. It was late night driving and I hit a patch of black-ice, lost control, hit the guard rail and flipped the poor truck back onto the road. Luckily I was the only injured from my seat belt. Everyone else was okay. My truck, unfortunately can't say the same... :( Damnit, I liked that truck. Cost a lot with gas prices, but it was a good truck. So now I'm back to bussing it. At least there is only about a month left of real winter. Then the temps should get a little warmer.

I was looking forward to this summer, and doing a lot more on my weekends off. Particularily car camping, now I'll have to figure something else out. But first, I need to get this day started. I have a lot to do today.

Crazy Busy

So. Working for Michaels, as a Manager, they require me to be First Aid trained and certified. Thats fine, they're paying for it. This morning was the first day of the two day course. I got up and decided I would bike it to the training course. The tires on my bike were both flat, so I searched the closet for my roomates tire pump with no success.. not there. He happened to wake up at 8:05 am, as I expected, I need to be at the training center for 8:30. I asked if I could borrow the pump, which he got for me from his room.... he left for his job and I spent another 10 minutes fighting with the damn thing to pump up my tires and finally got out the door. I decided to head to a convenience store for beverages for the day which was all fine and good. As I was leaving the store I saw crosswalk lights in my favour so I thought it would be a good idea to cross as fast as I coul before they changed... Unfortunately the car that decided to turn right, driving directly infront of me didn't see me until I was smeared down the length of the passenger side of the car.... I only bruised my elbow and destroyed the front tire of my bike so it didn't turn out horrific. The driver and his girl friend offered to drive me to where I was going so I locked up my bike and left it, hoping it would still be there when I got back and took the ride. They offered to pay for the tire, but seriously, why bother??.... At the end of the day, my bike was indeed still where I left it for me to carry home.

SO, Irony?? Being hit by a car on your way to a First Aid Training Course?? You tell me...

Damn.... Really long time since I last posted... (Over 2 months)

It seems in past, every time I post a good journal, I end up posting up a bad journal right after. So, I'm a little apprehensive about posting this journal. I fear that once done, all the good things will fall out from under me.... But, I could be just being paranoid.

So, lets tempt fate! On the 25 of March will be my second month anniversary with a Wonderful girl named Lesley. I know I've said this before, and in past it was true then, as it is now. She is Awesome and Amazing, she's level headed, down to earth, realistic. We have A Lot in common, yet we have many differences, keeping each other interesting and exciting. Its great. She has a Beautiful 3 year old daughter and the two of them are so much fun. So, things are good in the romantic front.

The financial and work front. A while back I was working for the Recycle company and that was going well. Crappy job, but it paid well. Then I picked up the Home Depot p/t job for a bonus and something different. Unfortunately due do lack of work, the Recycle job fell through and Home Depot pulled me through. With them, I a least made enough to survive. Then I found a p/t job at Michaels craft store. It just opened up here in T-Bay. I expressed my desire to be in the framing shop after store set up and I was fortunately granted training in the framing department. Unfortunately, our Department Manager fell ill and had to put in her resignation. That left the position open, and a I believe a couple ppl applied, including me. About 4 or 5 days ago I was given the promotion from part time staff to full time manager staff. Holy Crap Mix of Feelings!! Excitement Nervousness Fear. So, I put in my resignation at Home Depot, gave away 7 of my 10 shifts in the the next two weeks and start working full time at Michaels.

This has been my life in the past two months! I think I'm gonna take some money and get a tattoo as a congrats gift to me :D

Hope all is well with everyone else out there. Take care!
